I’m not very good at explaining what I do, which is probably why I keep making things.I’ve always been curious. I like noticing things, collecting ideas and following them to see where they end up. Sometimes they’re connected, sometimes they’re not, but I enjoy watching them slowly come together.I don’t really see painting, making objects or writing as separate parts of my practice. They’re just different ways of trying to express the same thing. Some ideas need paint, some need paper, and some don’t really fit into anything until I’ve lived with them for a while.Most of what I make begins because something caught my attention and wouldn’t let go. Looking back, I think curiosity has probably been the most consistent part of my practice.
